Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17th October 2026
Your privacy matters to us, and the information people share about fertility, health and family is some of the most personal there is. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what your rights are under Nigeria’s data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Who we are
The Fertility Lawyers Hub, trading as Fifunwa the Fertility Lawyer, is responsible for your personal information and is the “data controller”. You can contact us at 3 Aiyenuro Crescent Ogudu, Lagos, hello@fifunwaikobayofertilitylawyer.com or +2348038235757.
2. What information we collect
Depending on how you use the Website and our services, we may collect:
- Contact and booking details: your name, email address, phone number, country and the date and time you book.
- Information you give us in the intake form or in a consultation. This may include sensitive information about your health, fertility treatment, relationships and family circumstances. We only ask for what we need to advise you.
- Payment details. Selar handles payments, so we see confirmation of your payment, the amount and the date, but not your card details.
- Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, the contact form or social media.
- Your name and phone number if you join the WhatsApp community.
- Technical information about your visit, such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies (see section 9).

4. Sensitive information
Information about your health, fertility and family life is sensitive personal data. We ask for it only after you have booked, through the intake form, and not through the contact form or social media. Only the people who need it to advise you can see it, and we use it only for the purpose you gave it for.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only where it is needed, and only with:
- Service providers that help us run the practice, such as Selar (bookings and payments), Google (forms, email and calendar), Zoom or another video call provider, WhatsApp, and our website hosting and cookie providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Other people involved in your matter, such as a clinic, agency or another party’s lawyer, but only with your consent or where it is necessary to act for you.
- Professional advisers, courts, regulators and law enforcement, where the law requires us to or where we need to protect our legal rights.
6. Sending information abroad
Some of the providers above store or process information outside Nigeria. When that happens, we take steps to make sure your information is still protected as the law requires, for example by choosing reputable providers with proper safeguards in place.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 3 months
- Client files and consultation records: in line with professional rules.
- Booking and payment records: in line with accounting and tax requirements.
- Community group details: until you leave the group or ask us to remove you.
When we no longer need the information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. Keeping it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can see it, using well-known platforms for our forms, bookings and messages. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the safety of information sent over the internet, so please share only what is needed. If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Cookies
The Website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Our cookie banner lets you accept, reject or customise them. The categories are:
- Necessary cookies, which make the Website work and cannot be switched off.
- Analytical cookies, which show us how many people visit and which pages they use
You can change your choices at any time through the “Customize” option on the cookie banner, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.
10. Your rights
Under Nigerian data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold your information and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information, where we no longer need it or have no lawful reason to keep it
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to certain uses
- receive your information in a common format, or ask us to send it to another provider, where this applies
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it
To use any of these rights, email us at . We may need to confirm who you are first, and we will reply within the time the law requires. Some information, such as client files, we may have to keep for legal or professional reasons, and we will explain if that applies.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
12. Children
The Website and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, except where a parent or guardian gives it to us as part of a legal matter that involves a child.
13. Links to other sites
The Website links to other platforms, including Selar and our social media pages. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they use your information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on the Website.
